Tuna in onion

  • 500 gr. tuna
  • 2 pcs. onions
  • 1 tooth garlic
  • 1/2 glass water
  • 1 small tbsp. oregano
  • 1 small tbsp. sweet paprika
  • 100 ml. EVOO
  • 1 tbsp. sherry vinegar
  • 2 sheets laurel
  • salt to taste


  • First of all, cut the tuna into 2-3 cm cubes.
  • Put 60 ml of EVOO in a saucepan and when it is hot, add the tuna little by little, turning it over and over so that it takes colour and set aside.
  • In the same saucepan, add the remaining 40ml EVOO together with the sliced garlic until golden brown.
  • Once the garlic has browned, add the onion, previously cut into julienne strips, the bay leaf and salt. Cook over a medium heat for about 20m
  • After 20m, add the spoonful of sherry vinegar and stir.
  • Remove from the heat for a few moments, add the oregano and paprika and stir again.
  • Add the water and the tuna and leave on a medium heat until the water is consumed.
